Our technology is primarily focused on Cloud Observation. Specifically on
demand for and to our customers.
The joint results arosen from the Knowledge Transfer of our researchers and the development of our devices, Sieltec Canarias is currently working on new research lines by creating new models of analysis and applications.
Our System allows the user to take total control of Cloud Observation. It counts with fully reliability for analysis purposes by the implementation of our algorithm. Additionally, the dome provides semispherical angle vision for cloud studies. The combination of our embedded system and in-house software development makes our device an important meteorological product that is being recognized by Research Centres and other Scientific institutions worldwide. We are currently releasing a new range of cameras for different daylight and night applications.
SONA allows capturing, classifying and processing all-sky images, covering 180°+ field of view. Its robust design with compact dimensions, a complete new embedded system and new internal sensors for different applications provide high reliability in harsh environmental conditions.
The SONA device can be customized on-demand thanks to the development of different versions for day and night and type of applications, such as cloud observation and reporting at airports, cloud and radiation nowcasting for solar industry, sky watching in astronomy, cloud observation for tourism industry, etc.

We provide through Cloud Computing our SONA CLOUD solution in order to resolve issues in daily use accessibility, data collection and privacy measures. It is totally compatible with other sensors such as radiation, temperature or humidity.
SONA CLOUD integrates the Cloud Detection System and it will be soon available a predictive feature focused on nowcasting. Therefore, for a more accurate study, SONA CLOUD will integrate image capture for environmental studies in solar radiation and cloud observartion.
Software as a service (Saas) is a software licensing and delivery model in which software is licensed on a subscription basis and is centrally hosted. It is sometimes referred to as “on-demand software”. SaaS is typically accessed by users using a thin client via a web browser. SaaS has been incorporated into the strategy of all leading enterprise software companies. One of the biggest selling points for these companies is the potential to reduce IT support costs by outsourcing hardware and software maintenance and support to the SaaS provider. Demo here
